Meeting Areas

Numerous meeting spaces welcome both formal and informal gatherings. For example, our Oak Glade is a natural cathedral that accommodates groups of 100 and more. Three indoor meeting rooms and an activity area accommodate groups of 5 to 120, and are lightly carpeted and can easily be configured for yoga and movement activities. All indoor spaces are air-conditioned and heated.

West Room

The West Room is a newly built 45' x 65' facility that can seat up to 120 people. It has carpeting, private restrooms, two side offices, and front and back entrances. The west facing wall of sliding glass doors opens to a deck, perfect for panoramic views of the California sunset! This space is well suited for audio and visual technical equipment. It is next to the housing facilities, making it convenient and comfortable for deep transformative work. It can also be used for yoga, movement, meditation, and other types of practice.

Amphitheater
Our Amphitheater has tiered seating for up to 100 people. The building is across the way from The Commons(dining area), and is ideal for lectures or group discussions. It is fully carpeted, has private bathrooms in the building, and can be set up with chairs, cushions, and/or backjacks for comfortable floor seating.

The Community building
The Community Building is a large building consisting of our catering kitchen, dining area, and meeting spaces.
The Living Room is a cozy, private space that seats 30. It is normally arranged as a lounge with couches and chairs in an open circle, but can be reconfigured for your group's needs. It is an excellent space for dialogue and interview work.
The Dining Room is a large open space that can seat 100. It can be set up for lectures, dining, or movement. The Dining Room overlooks a beautiful garden and patio with a fountain.

The Oak Glade
The Oak Glade is an outdoor circular cathedral created by large, high canopy native oak trees. Shaded and flat, it is a prime gathering space for up to 100 people. Chairs and learning materials can be brought outside to accommodate group needs.

The Tepee
The Tepee is located on a hill above the IONS campus buildings. We are honored to have a large canvas tepee with a strong wood frame and a level outdoor seating circle. It is used both during the day and evening, and seats up to 30 people during spring, summer, and fall seasons. It is an enchanting spot for star-gazing, group rituals, and classes.

Extras:

Audio/Video equipment is also available to better facilitate your event. We offer the following equipment: LCD projector, overhead projector, slide projector, screens, TV/VCR, sound system, CD/tape player. Backjacks, chairs, pillows, tables, flipchart stands and pads are also available.
