Over the past several decades, new scientific discoveries
along with a surge in grassroots initiatives addressing
social and economic injustices have begun calling into
question the view of the universe-and essentially of
ourselves-as ultimately cold and mechanistic. Revealing
both the mysterious directionality of the evolving cosmos
and the irrepressible humanity within our own natures,
new evidence is emerging that we are innately capable
of far more than we realize. Yes, the evidence is compelling
that the arc of the human species is on a self-destructive
decline, and yet once the pieces are put together, there
is no denying that another reality is fighting through
the cracks of the dominant narrative. We are just beginning
to tap into our potential as human beings despite, or
perhaps because of, the multiple crises that we are
facing.

has brought great tumult in the financial markets as
well as the political world. It seems to many, including
myself, that we are now entering a phase of rebirth
of culture and consciousness that will bring waves of
such contractions as we release old habits and patterns
that no longer serve. The short-term pain, we hope,
will be in service to a larger liberation.
Let's envision the coming months as a time of increasing
recognition of the need for new solutions, approaches
and innovations to create a healthy and whole culture.
We see our members and allies as a key part of that
emerging conscious culture. Now is truly the time for
us to bring forward our gifts and put our ideas into
action.
We
have two exciting events on the horizon at IONS for
us to network with each other and chart a positive path
forward: the Consciousness Cruise (November
15th through 20th - more
info) and our International Conference
next June 17-21 in Tucson, AZ, entitled Towards
a Global Shift: Seeding the Field of Collective Change.
The conference will feature a stellar roster of speakers
such as Van Jones, Bruce Lipton, Chip Conley, Luisah Teish, Larry and Barbara Dossey, as well as innovative collaborative processes
for groups. Registration will be live on Dec. 15th.
Finally,
we've continued to add the insights of new leaders to
our Shift in Action program, include a special
series with investment advisor Catherine Austin Fitts
on "Economic Wisdom for Uncertain Times."
The last in the series is Monday evening, November 3rd,
but all shows will be in the archives.

There are so many new healing modalities nowadays I can hardly keep track. A friend keeps telling me about magnetic healing. Do you know anything about that? Also, I keep thinking you must be psychic. Are you? And if so, when was the first time you realized you had these powers?

You know, I knew you were going to ask that.
The first time I had a dramatic demonstration
of these powers was in 1987. I was driving
past a grove in Florida and the sign said,
"Free O. J." And I said, "My God,
what did he do?" As for magnetic healing,
I knew you were going to ask that question
too, so I booked a session last week. Whew!
Talk about powerful. It took me three days
to peel myself off my refrigerator.

we offer the following intention. "May the current
economic challenges result in a re-alignment of
our financial systems so that our markets reflect
our best wisdom, deepest integrity, and compassion
for the betterment of humanity."

This month, we encourage you to have a dialogue about money and consciousness with someone you trust. What are you feeling in response to economic uncertainty? How can you use this as an opportunity to bring your money into greater alignment with your consciousness?
